EA has announced that its free-to-play mobile game The Sims FreePlay is now an official (PRODUCT)RED App Store partner. What this means is that proceeds from (PRODUCT)RED will go to (RED)’s fight against aids.
“650 babies are born with HIV every day, together we can get those close to zero,” EA said in a new video. “Now your sims can make a difference!”
From now until December 7th, 100% of the (PRODUCT)RED proceeds will go to (RED)’s against Aids. There will be a brand new quest and dozens of (PRODUCT)RED items and clothing available for your Sim Town community.
The Apps for (RED) update for The Sims FreePlay is, unfortunately, available exclusively on the Apple App Store. Fans who download the update will find that their Social Points have been converted to special (POINTS)RED. You can then use these apps to purchase special items, and the proceeds will go to (RED)’s fight against AIDS. Once the event is over, your points will be converted back to Social Points.
