Terra Battle, the wonderfully addictive new puzzle RPG from Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi, has surpassed 500,000 downloads which, according to the Download Starter goals, means new characters by Manabu Kusunoki will be added.
As a special thank you to everyone who helped reach this goal, Kusunoki actually shared a special message with fans via a YouTube video.
In achieving this milestone, developer Mistwalker has sent everyone 5 free Energy, and has also made Hideo Minaba’s character, Sheen, available from the tavern. You can recruit this “handy, sword-toting dancer” via the Pact of Truth or the Pact of Fellowship.
Released last week, Terra Battle has climbed to the top of the charts on iTunes and Google Play, averaging about 100,000 downloads per day. The next milestone is at 600,000 download which, at this rate, shouldn’t be too much longer. At 600K, Kimihiko Fujisaka, who has already created many characters in Terra Battle,w ill be asked to create additional characters.
While goals like new characters, additional modes, and free soundtracks are welcomed, I think we should all work towards the two million download goal which would mean the start of development on a console version of Terra Battle. I would love to see this game on PlayStation.
