Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed speeds onto PS Vita today

Sonic-and-all-stars-racing-transformedSonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed was released on the PS Vita today bringing owners a fast-paced multiplayer racing game. The game, which is now available on the PlayStation Store, offers car driving, boat racing, and plane flying fun as you race and transform your way through numerous tracks.

It’s not just your vehicle that transforms, however. The tracks themselves change over the course of the race. Volcanoes will erupt, paths will get destroyed, and the terrain itself will change right in front of you, ensuring that every lap is something new and exciting.

There’s plenty of nostalgia for fans as well. There’s a few old school SEGA characters that are playable beyond the traditional Sonic cast. Vyse from Skies of Arcadia, Gilius from Golden Axe, NiGHTS and many more are all available to race as. Additionally, each track is based on a vintage SEGA franchise or series from the last 20+ years.

If you purchase the game now at most retail stores (or the digital copy) you also have a chance to snag some bonus DLC content which includes the exclusive Metal Sonic character, Outrun track, and additional stickers for your in-game driver’s license.

It should also be noted that the PS3 and PS VITA versions are separate on the saves and multiplayer front, but each features many of the same tracks and characters.
