As previously reported, Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath HD was released on the PlayStation Vita today.
Like the PS3 version, Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath HD for the Vita features high-quality graphical assets, better textures, and high poly models. As Sony explained today, it’s not just a simple port. The game makes use of the Vita’s touchscreen and rear touchpad for “added controls”. It also runs at the Vita’s native screen resolution.
In Stranger’s Wrath HD, you assume the role of the mysterious bounty hunter Stranger, a fearsome bounty hunter that captures outlaws to raise “moolah” for a mysterious surgical procedure, on a mission to clean up the Oddworld’s Wild West. After encountering the backwater town of the Grubbs, Stranger discovers that there are a few too many secrets about the past and his future as a bounty hunter.
Stranger’s Wrath for PS Vita is out now in North America. .
