Layton’s Mystery Journey: Case 2 Puzzle 19 ‘School Sister’ Answer

“School Sister” is part of Case 2 and is the 19th overall puzzle in Layton’s Mystery Journey.

Case 2: Puzzle 019: ‘School Sister’ Question:

Two sisters attend the same school. Each morning, the younger sister sets off first, and the older sister leaves the house when the younger sister has traveled one hundred metres. The younger sister walks at one metre per second, and the older sister walks at two metres per second. What is the minimum number of seconds it would take the older sister to catch up? They live in the same house, travel the same route, and neither of them turn back on their way to school.

Case 2: Puzzle 019: ‘School Sister’ Answer:

If the younger sister stops walking at exactly 100 metres, it would only take the older sister 50 seconds to catch up (2 meters x 50 seconds = 100 metres).
