Here’s whats new for the 3DS on the Nintendo eShop — Jan. 3, 2013

The Nintendo eShop, the online marketplace powered by Nintendo Network, received its update today, bringing some great games to the 3DS. For those unfamiliar, Nintendo adds new titles weekly to the Nintendo eShop for the Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo 3DS XL systems. This week 3DS owners are treated to Unchained Blades, Code of Princess, and Gunman Clive, among other titles.

Unchained Blades – $29.99

Fang must traverse dangerous living temples known as Titans in order to meet his maker once again and exact his revenge on the great Goddess Clunea. But he cannot do it alone. Journey through grid-based dungeons in first-person view with your seven allies in classic turn-based combat, all while fighting more than 180 varieties of monsters that you can convince to fight alongside you in battle.

This game features good ol’ turn-based, dungeon-crawling gameplay with a story-driven narrative (voice-overs included).

Code of Princess

Blending fighting game play with components from classic arcade side-scrolling beat ’em ups and the character development of an RPG, Code of Princess provides hard-core gamers with a new twist on some of their favorite game types. Up to four players can take on challenges cooperatively or battle against one another in competitive play either locally or online.

Gunman Clive – $1.99

In the year of 18XX, the west is overrun by thugs and outlaws. A group of bandits has kidnapped Mayor Johnson’s daughter and is spreading havoc across the land. Only Gunman Clive can bring order to the west and save the girl. Gunman Clive is an old-school side-scrolling platform game set in the Old West with 3D graphics and a unique art style. Jump and shoot your way across diverse and challenging levels while fighting massive bosses.

Also new this week is Air Battle Hockey 3DGalaxy Saver, and Snowboard Xtreme.
