With Sony already confirming release of MLB 13 The Show on PlayStation Vita, it’s time to focus on the next most important thing: the cover.
Voting for the cover of Sony’s MLB 13 The Show kicked off this week with the candidates — seven of baseball’s best players — campaigning for your vote. Though it’s not nearly as cut throat as the Presidential election, it’s just as important. I mean, we’re talking about the player that will grace the cover of this year’s best, and only, baseball game. Every time you go to open the case, you’re going to have to look at this player — so it better be somebody you like.
Voting this year is a little different from the past. Unlike the President election, this vote is completely open. To cast your vote, you must actually Tweet (on Twitter) or share your vote via a Facebook post. Head over to MLB.com/covervote and vote for the player you think most deserves to be on the cover. Once there, just click on the player and choose to vote through Twitter or Facebook.
Every time you vote, you claim a seat in your favorite player’s stadium. At the end of the week, the player with the most fans in their stadium wins the coveted spot on MLB 13 The Show‘s cover. Also, you can vote every day.
So if you want to put a NL player on the cover for the first time since 2008, or think it’s time a pitcher is on the cover, head over to MLB.com to cast your vote. Voting began yesterday, but it lasts until January 11, 2013 so you still have plenty of time. Below are the seven athlete’s up for the cover and their Twitter hashtag. Don’t be a clown, cast your vote!
