With the highly anticipated October update for Clash Royale presumably right around the corner, Supercell has begun sneak peeks for its new features. This is, after all, one of the biggest updates the game has seen in quite some time!
And giving us the details is YouTuber Orange Juice Gaming. For those of you who don’t want to sit through the entire video, scroll down for a bulleted liste explaining the mechanics of the brand new Quest system.
Clash Royale Quests Explained
Say goodbye to Achievements. Replacing Achievements and their rewards is the new Quest System.
No more collectible free chests every 4 hours. In its place are “Quests”. The rewards have been redistributed via the Quest system.
There will be a “Daily Gift” you receive for playing Clash Royale, and these rewards can vary. Usually they consist of cards, coins, and Gems.
Quests come in the form of both daily and weekly challenges that, when completed, earn you rewards. Each quest has its own individual rewards associated with it — usually coins, cards, or Gems, as well as something called “Quest Points”.
Quest Points are used to unlock various Quests Chests (these chests can even be Super Magical and Legendary Chests!)
Quests come in the form of playing certain cards during matches (either by rarity or type), collecting cards, winning games using specific card combos, and much more. This is Quest Version 1.0 and more Quests will be added in the future.
Quests seem to refresh every 18-24 hours (to avoid spamming), but the exact timing is not yet known.
You can replace 1 Quest per day.
Quests are just one new feature in the upcoming October update for Clash Royale. Also coming is a brand new mode: Touchdown.
