While playing Clash Royale, you may have noticed some of your opponents have colorful names, and may be wondering how to change the color of your name. Well, good news, it’s quite easy! It only requires you change your name (which you can only change ONCE, so be sure it’s the color you want!) and input a very simple code.
How to change your name in Clash Royale
Step 1: While in game, go to the Settings menu.
Step 2: Choose “Change Name” (Note: You can only change your name once). If you are creating a new account, you can enter the colored name after finishing the first tutorial.
Step 3: When entering your name, use this code: <c###>name</c> (Replace the ### with the hex color code for the color you desire).
Note: There is a 15 character limit for your name, so using the color code will take up some letters.
The good news is, there are a few basic colors that require only a single digit, so it will only take up 8 characters. The following colors require only one digit:
- <c2>Red</c> =Red
- <c3>Green</c> = Gree
- <c4>Blue</c> = Blue
- <c5>Teal</c> = Teal
- <c6>Pink</c> = Pink
- <c7>Yellow</c> = Yellow
- <c8>Purple</c> = Purple
- <c9>Burgundy</c> = Burgundy
If you want to use more than one color in your name, it would look like this <c1>r<c5>t</c> = rt
If you’ve entered the code correctly, you can actually see the name change color in the box before confirming the change. You’ll also see it a second time on the confirmation screen. If the name has not changed color in either of these screens, then you have entered the code wrong.
Remember, you can only change your name once in Clash Royale, so be sure the name and color are what you want! Otherwise, you’ll have to make an entirely new account.
