In a bit of an odd switch from the norm, Supercell will “very likely” not be doing sneak peeks for the upcoming Clash of Clans update. This comes as a bit of a surprise for many as the developer typically spends a week or so before the arrival of an update, teasing new features and changes that the update will bring. For whatever reason, that will not be the case with the upcoming update.
On the forums, moderator LachNessBoatster dropped the disappointing news to fans:
“It is very likely that we will NOT be seeing sneak peeks for this update – hence the change of update status to radar.”
It’s unclear why Supercell will not be providing sneak peeks into the new features; however, they have at least been teasing some new things — such as the arrival of boats. Following the recent teaser trailer, a shipwrecked boat arrived off the coast of players’ villages.
It’s still a mystery as to what functionality these boats will bring to the game. We do know you’ll need to repair it, but beyond that there’s still much that’s unknown. Some speculate that once fixed, the boat will allow you access to a second village.
It’s worth noting that some things we do know about the update is that it will not have Town Hall 12 or level 13 walls. And there will be no new hero levels.
Beyond that, all we know is that this is considered to be a “huge” update, possibly the largest ever — even bigger than Clan Wars.
Guess we’ll have to wait in see, but in the meantime let us know what you think of the arrival of boats and what it could mean for the future of Clash of Clans.
