Supercell’s hit mobile action-strategy game Clash of Clans is getting a Halloween update this week that, along with all sorts spooky surprises, will offer players additional gameplay improvements — particularly with boosting and clan settings.
Taking to the game’s forums, Supercell has provided us with a few sneak peeks at the improvements coming (presumably this week).
The first is boost improvements. According to Supercell, Barracks, Spell Factory, and Hero boosts will now be automatically paused during maintenance breaks. However, these boosts will not continue automatically after the game goes online; you’ll need to tap the “Resume” button to keep the boost going (at no extra cost). You’ll be able to boost all buildings of the same type with one button.
The update will also bring new Clan Settings, making it easier for players to find and join your clan. Clan leaders will be able to set the Clan’s location (by country or international), War frequency, member count and minimum clan points. On the flip side, players looking for a clan can use the same search parameters even without specifying a clan name.
Additionally, every clan will now have a unique hashtag (can not be customized by players) which will make it easier for players to find specific clans. So now if you’re trying to find a specific clan that has a very common name, all you’ll need to do is enter the clan’s hashtag in the Search field and you’ll find exactly what you’re looking for.
Player profiles now showing the highest unlocked level of player’s troops, heroes, and spells. And lastly, the update will slightly reduce the boost cost for Elixir Pump level 11, Gold Mine level 11, and Dark Elixir Drill level 5 and 6.
Supercell hasn’t announced a release date for the update, but did say one last sneak peek is coming tomorrow, so stay tuned.
