FitStar: Tony Gonzalez is a new video-based fitness app
FitStar Labs, Inc., a company dedicated to blending the power of mobile technology and immersive fitness content, has announced their first product, a video-based fitness app for the iPad featuring future National Football League (NFL) Hall-of-Famer, Tony Gonzalez. The app, appropriately titled FitStar: Tony Gonzalez acts as a personal trainer, and introduces an “adaptive fitness program” that allows you to progress at your own rate, based on gauged abilities and tracked accomplishments. The interactive and adaptive workout system can be experienced in HD on an iPad or connected TV.
Look, Tony Gonzalez has been in the NFL for 16 years, his latest falling just one game short of the Super Bowl. The guy has had one of the most prolific careers in the history of professional football, and is a one-of-a-kind athlete. So if there is anyone’s app you should take advantage of, it’s his.
“I’m extremely proud to be working with such an awesome group of folks who are passionate about improving the health of individuals with engaging and entertaining apps,” said Tony Gonzalez. “FitStar truly is a dynamic, immersive and inspirational way to help people reach their health and fitness goals. I’m really excited about the promise FitStar: Tony Gonzalez holds in making a positive impact on the wellness of the country as a whole.”
The app features more than 60 exercises that you can do anytime, anywhere. The first version of the app will feature a range of dynamic exercises that require minimal equipment. Users can select their own fitness goal, with engaging programs for busy lifestyles, general conditioning and weight loss. FitStar: Tony Gonzalez is built on a platform that enables new content, fitness tracking devices and media services to be added in the future, and is cloud-enabled to allow users to connect with friends, share achievements and track progress.
FitStar: Tony Gonzalez is set to release in spring 2013.
